Village Hall Raises a Ramp

Ingleby Cross and Ingleby Arncliffe Villagers celebrated the completion of the access ramp to their Village Hall with an opening ceremony at a recent Church coffee morning . Lady Venetia Bell, with the help of local resident Julian Best, cut the ribbon to mark the end of a long, hard fund raising campaign. Now the Village Hall is easily accessible to older residents and young families.
Julian commented, "The ramp is magnificent and the best I have seen. A very big thank you to all those who have worked so hard to make it possible. I will even be able to vote.”
Anthony Nelson constructed the ramp which blends in superbly with the Grade 11 listed Hall. We are indebted to Hambleton District Council - Making A Difference Fund, The Big Lottery, All Saints Church, The Bell Family and The Village Hall Committee who funded this project. A big thank you to the many individuals who have worked so hard and given of their time to secure and complete this valuable work which is a real asset to the community.
