Private William Harwood Stockdale - References

1.  1901 Census  (31st March).

At the time of the 1901 Census William Stockdale’s family was living in Peter Hill, Hutton Westside, Hutton Rudby, Yorkshire. A  house named Peter Hill is located 1.5 miles south-west of Hutton Rudby by the lane to East Rounton.
 
Details:
John Stockdale, head of the house, married, occupation Hind[2], age 38, born in Marton, Yorkshire.
Ann Stockdale, wife, married, age 38, born in Ellerby, Yorkshire.
William Stockdale, son, age 6, born in Skutterskelfe, Yorkshire.
Edwin Stockdale, son, age 3.
Thomas Stockdale, son, age 1.

William H Stockdale was working as a farm labourer, aged 16, with his grandfather at a farm in Seamer, Scarborough.
